| Speaker Information: | Team of Anaesthetists with advanced pain management training and skills; a Social Worker; Nursing; a Physiotherapist; a Pharmacist; and an Occupational Therapist. |
| Objectives: | To discuss the management of complex pain issues;
To improve understanding of the pathophysiology leading to persistent pain;
To discuss options for the management of persistent pain patients including interventional therapy, mobilization, medications and psychological support. |
| Description: | Complex Pain Management Interdisciplinary Rounds are held every Thursday 8:00-9:00 am in the NRGH Pain Clinic Meeting Room. If physicians prefer, these sessions may be held earlier, 7:30-8:30 am, (please indicate your preference via email: debbie.hagen@viha.ca).
Physicians are invited to present cases if they wish. Please contact the NRGH Pain Program if you have any questions and/or cases to present. |
