Objectives:
Description:The Rural Emergency Medicine Journal Club is aimed at physicians who provide emergency medicine care in rural BC and in small urban areas and will cover five new and relevant emergency medicine articles. The participants are both urban and rural from across the province. The moderators are emergency physicians or specialists in rural practice. New this year, the series of topics will run over the fall 2017 (Sep 5-Dec 17) for one semester only. The session starts with an initial post on the journal club website by the Moderator, summarizing an academic article or a case study. Participants will then engage in discussion online responding to each others' comments on the website. This is asynchronous, so you can visit the website at any time that suits your schedule, using any device with an internet connection. To make the most of this learning experience we suggest you visit the website approximately twice per week to read others' comments and add to the discussion.
