Objectives:As a result of attending this program, the participant will be able to apply current knowledge to treat a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders. As a result of attending specific presentations in this conference participants will be able to: • Define, identify and discuss at least one of these three conditions: Approach to the Difficult Colonic Polyp, Elevated Liver Enzymes and Myths in Diverticular Disease • Reflect upon and discuss the Primary Care- Specialist Interaction • Confidently discuss how to investigate and manage Fatty Liver Disease • List and confidently discuss the Evidence for Cannabinoids in GI • Reflect upon and discuss what is new in Proton Pump Inhibitors. • Formulate a plan of medical care based on the new H. Pylori management guidelines. • Debate and evaluate what is new in the treatment of Common Pediatric Gastrointestinal Problems • Identify when, how and why Anticoagulants should be managed prior to and during medical procedures • Define, identify and confidently discuss at least three of these five conditions or situations: Approach to Palliation in the Patient with GI Disease, Therapeutic Drug Monitoring for Irritable Bowel, Common Perianal Problems, management of C-Diff, management of Pediatric GI disease. • Confidently identify and discuss how to manage a GI emergency for the first 30 minutes • List and describe the function of New Drugs for Constipation
